...and the maturation process continues.

I hope and assume that the guys watch the tape and realize that no matter how talented, no one person can do it on his own, and that "me-first" ball is gonna lose you most of your games. 47 minutes of share-the-ball, great game, and six minutes of "I'm gonna do it all myself" -- six minutes and zero points.

Man it was fun to watch, tho!!

Thomas used to be a sure bet. But, he's been huge as a steady presence on defense and rebounding. Granted, the guy breaks windows with his shot, but you can't count out his contributions any...

Ladies and gentlemen, I think the Kings are going to prove to have drafted the Rookie of the Year and a perennial All-Star. He's getting better and better every game. His defense - as proven last night - is as good as any defender in the league. He nailed two game-clinching free throws like a cold-blooded killer. When this kid develops a consistent outside game, he's going to be as good as - if not better than - Kobe.

Never thought we'd see a bona-fide superstar in a...

Gotta keep reminding myself they don't have good enough big men and the rookies and sophomores are still very raw. I guess it's the feeling of urgency around the team's future home that winning more now means a better chance.

How 'bout them Kings.

I'm especially impressed w/ certain members of the young core, namely Evans, Rodriguez, Casspi, Brockman, and Thompson.

My main disappointment: Spencer Hawes. He's looking more and more like a backup PF/C. His talent/potential remains largely untapped and it's looking less likely that he will learn to develop his strengths any time soon. I really hope Geoff Petrie works hard to find a couple of big...

Good morning Kings fans!

A bit bummed that I spent time out of my day off (yesterday), writing a mini-dissertation on my optimism re: the Kings future, then as I hit "post" I lost my internet connection and all was lost.

Oh well ... I can't resist trying again!

The way I see it there are three tiers to the Kings current core, as follows:

Key pieces: Evans, Martin, Casspi, Greene, Thompson, Hawes
